Spears The new Drill Spear is the only game in town when it comes to unique spears, and luckily it's beast, it's normal stab is stronger than probably any other RNG spear and plenty fast to boot, it's special is really unique combing elements of Rocket spear (though this time the rocket come out of the back of the spear so as to propel you rather than to use as a flamethrower) and flurry which is the best spear special (imo). imo though it's just a bit too sluggish and it's special not as useful to really give it use in everyday applications, against bosses it's pretty good though, probably better than the Solus Katana. it's a close second in my opinion.Īstrosabre DX (I'm not saying it the other way) is a fine option, very pretty as well, Damage is fantastic. Solus Katana, it's fast, when upgraded it can stand next to any T6 broadsword in damage but it's special is far more tactical than most others, more damaging too allowing for a wide rage of applications. The Protector's Broadsword does the most damage per swing of any broadsword (when using it's special) it's also reasonably fast and has a flying slash effect when you use the special attack when you've already activated it. If you like swords forget short swords their only benefit is that you can also wield shields, but if you really want that just pick up a blue quality broadsword with parry (since it's pure RNG this is probably more rare than actual legendary weapons)Įither way lets talk unique weapons, Broadswords specifically, because the unique short swords are trash. Forget that other dude, there most certainly IS a best weapon, starbound isn't nearly that balanced.
